Sometimes the treasure we find is not the one we were searching for.
A man encounters a small mythological creature guarding a pot of gold. What initially appears to be the answer to all his desires soon becomes something unexpected, intimate and deeply human.

The pircante is the guardian of a small pot of gold. The man who discovers him imagines wealth, escape and the possibility of changing his life.
But the creature has a desire of his own: to experience the sea.
What begins as an absurd encounter gradually becomes a story about wonder, empathy and the unexpected value of helping another being fulfil an apparently impossible dream.

Oro o mai più is a short vertical film combining live action, visual effects and a digitally created fantasy character.
Written by Gabriele D'Angelo and directed by Lucia La Porta, the film moves between comedy, fantasy and a more intimate emotional journey.

Oro o mai più has been officially selected for the Vertical Movie Festival 2026.
The film will be part of the official festival selection in Rome from September 29 to October 1, 2026.
